Japan 1992-3 Takenaka Corporation Economy of construction and function was a primary concern in the design in particular to rational 10m X 10m steel grid. In addition, we chose the most suitable materials and services for the building program, and examined various possible expressions for the required functions. In the end, we adopted a uniform expression for the exterior of the building through the use of horizontal sandwich panels and band windows. The narrow and long aluminium sashes contribute to this image and provide high side light for the working spaces, air conditioning, and operatable smoke ventilation. The office space is open to the front garden through a large window. |
