Athens 2002 [Competition] Miguel + Nagumo Our proposal consisted of a simple system capable of producing a variety of spatial variations. It is essentially composed of frames measuring 5x5x1.25m. Each frame is capable of two types of movements: skewing and sliding. These two distinct actions can produce thousands of variations of spaces. In order to have adaptable interiors we created several small parallel "rips" in the interior skin of each panel that work as the module for all furniture. We might have the possibility to customise space using simple furnishing elements composed of glass, honeycomb panels and wire, either for sculpture, painting or video exhibitions. |
